The Food Safety and Quality Unit of the Environmental Health Department, Ipoh City Council (MBI) has conducted a Food Sampling Activity as a food safety control measure to ensure that food sold to the public is clean, safe, and complies with established standards.

This sampling is conducted periodically according to the schedule set by the Perak State Health Department, with random food samples collected from various Ramadan bazaar locations around Ipoh. A total of six (6) ready-to-eat food samples have been sent to the Ipoh Public Health Laboratory for analysis to ensure compliance with the Food Act 1983 and Food Regulations 1985.

If the analysis results indicate a violation of food safety standards, enforcement action will be taken based on the applicable legal provisions.

Ipoh City Council will continue to intensify monitoring and enforcement efforts to ensure food safety is always guaranteed for the well-being of consumers.
