The return procession from Sri Subramaniar Temple, Gunung Cheroh, to Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Sungai Pari, Buntong, will start on January 26, 2024 (Friday) at 4:30 PM and is expected to finish on January 27, 2024 (Saturday) at 9:00 AM.

**Related to this, staged road closures will be implemented during the chariot procession, involving the following roads:**
1. From Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Sungai Pari, Buntong, through Jalan Sungai Pari – Jalan Tun Perak.
2. Jalan Tun Perak – Jalan Lahat.
3. Jalan Lahat – Jalan Perhentian.
4. Jalan Lahat – Jalan Sultan Yusof.
5. Jalan Sultan Yusof – Jalan Sultan Iskandar.
6. Jalan Sultan Idris Shah – Traffic Light Jalan Laxamana.
7. Jalan Sultan Idris Shah – Traffic Light Jalan Musa Aziz.
8. Jalan Datuk Onn Jaafar – Jalan Raja Musa Aziz.
9. Jalan Raja Musa Aziz – Jalan Dato’ Ahmad Said.
10. Jalan Raja Musa Aziz – Hospital Raja Roundabout.

The Ipoh District Police anticipate the presence of approximately 500,000 visitors during the 4-day Thaipusam celebration in 2024 in Ipoh, Perak. Therefore, the police advise all road users in and around the city to plan their journeys, adhere to traffic police instructions, and be aware of staged road closures during this period.
