Perak’s civil servants will receive a special payment of RM700 as “duit raya” for the upcoming Hari Raya celebration, according to the state’s Mentri Besar Datuk Saarani Mohamad. The payment will benefit around 37,000 civil servants in Perak, including those from local authorities, statutory bodies, and agencies under the state government.
The allowances will be given to all civil servants regardless of their grades. This includes both those under off-contract and for services.
The announcement has been well received by civil servants who have expressed their gratitude towards the state government for acknowledging their efforts and sacrifices during these challenging times.
