Selina Davier, the owner of Xavier Food Catering, has proven once again that she has a heart of gold. In conjunction with Good Friday, she gave away free lunches to the less fortunate in Ipoh.
The idea to give away free lunches on Good Friday came to her as she was reflecting on the meaning of the day. She wanted to do something that would make a difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate. She believed that by giving away free lunches, she could provide some relief to those who may be struggling to make ends meet.
They wanted to make sure that the food was not only delicious but also nutritious. The menu included rice, chicken, and mixed vegetables. The food was packed in individual containers, and volunteers helped distribute the food to those in need. Over 450 packets of food were distributed and The Lion’s Club of Bougainvillea City (IBC) was one of the organizations that helped distribute the food, Selina’s initiative not only fed the hungry but also extended to the children of the Persatuan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Kasih Sayang in Ipoh, Perak. The club took food from Xavier Food Catering and donated it to the orphanage.
Selina Davier’s philanthropic work is no stranger to the community as she has been actively involved in charity work long before the pandemic hit. This act of kindness is just one of many charitable efforts that she has undertaken, as her catering business has also been known to support charitable events and organizations by lending a helping hand to those in need.
In a world that often seems to prioritize individualism and self-gain, Selina’s actions serve as a reminder that giving back to society is crucial for our collective well-being. Her initiative during Good Friday serves as an example of how small acts of kindness can have a significant impact on those around us. Let us work towards building a more compassionate and empathetic society, one act of kindness at a time.
