Kechara Soup Kitchen (KSK) is a non-profit organisation that provides free food, drinks, and basic first aid to the homeless and those in need, regardless of race or religion. KSK has also introduced a mobile clinic that provides free health exams and counselling to the homeless and poor, and a food bank programme through collaborations with Tesco, AEON, Munchy’s, and The Westin Hotel. The organization’s motto is “Hunger Knows No Barriers”, and it believes compassion for the under privileged should be widespread. KSK has supplied 1.5 million meals since its founding.

Kechara Soup Kitchen inaugurated its new operation centre at Ground Floor 15, Medan Bendahara 2, 31650 Ipoh, Perak. In conjunction with their soft launch, close to fifty low-income households received dry food packs worth RM 150.00 each, after the KSK’s Ipoh team conducted research and due diligence at several city locations with the help of volunteers. All recipients were vetted through and are registered for further follow-ups and support.

Later in the evening KSK went around Ipoh town, giving out food and aid to the needy.

Street distribution is organized every Saturday from 8- 10pm. Anyone interested can contact 012-233 8462 for more information or you can visit https://kecharasoupkitchen.com/get-involved/ to know more about their activities.

My Ipoh would like to applaud the efforts made by KSK to assist the homeless and those who are struggling.
