The Ipoh City Council has so far allocated some RM2 million towards the various aid programmes during and the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In another corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme recently, Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin and his team went to the most “needy” locations in the city to offer aid.

This time around, they brought RM1,000 worth of food baskets to Pusat Jagaan Anak-Anak Yatim Al-Yassin in Taman Cempaka here. They included daily rations, rice, milk, flour and other essentials.

They were joined by their partners Econsave represented by Chua Yong Chiang, Northern Region Manager 2 and  Ooi Kean Hock, Econsave Jelapang manager.

“The impact of the pandemic is still being felt by the underprivileged community. As such, we will continue our aid programmes, ” said Rumaizi.

Other corporate supporters for the CSR projects are Kinta Properties, Kuala Lumpur Kepong (KLK) and other corporate entities.
