The Honorable Dato’ Salbiah binti Mohamed, Chairperson of the Women, Family, Community Welfare, Entrepreneurship Development, and Cooperative Committee of the State of Perak, graciously took the time to visit several business premises in the back alley area of the dining establishments at No. 172-184, Jalan Sultan Idris Shah, Ipoh, which is becoming popular as a gastronomic hotspot for tourists.
Accompanying YB Dato’ Salbiah were the City Secretary, Tuan Ahmad Munir bin Ishak, Council Members Mr. Lam Yew Tact and Mr. Lee Tze Hoo, representatives from departments, and agency representatives such as TEKUN, STeP, MARA, SMEcorp, the Cooperative Commission, and SSM.
The purpose of the visit was to survey and assist small entrepreneurs operating businesses within the food premises and surrounding areas. YB Dato’ Salbiah had the opportunity to listen to the complaints and grievances from the representatives of the traders. The State Government, in collaboration with the Ipoh City Council (MBI), is ready to help facilitate the processes and issues faced by these traders while ensuring cleanliness and safety for both traders and visitors in the area.
