Tuan Haji Ahmad Munir bin Ishak, the City Secretary, led the delegation for the Ipoh City Council’s working visit to Quest International University Perak (QIU) located on Jalan Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Ipoh, Perak.
During the visit, the delegation was also given a briefing session on the proposed university development project in Gunung Lang.
The briefing and working visit were also attended by LAr. Meor Abdullah Zaidi Bin Meor Razali, Senior Director of Services, and officers from the One Stop Centre Unit (OSC), the City Planning Department, the Infrastructure Engineering Department, the Development Control Department, and the Parks and Landscape Department.
The visit aimed to share information regarding Quest’s proposed new university development project in Gunung Lang and to provide Ipoh City Council with exposure to QIU, particularly the types of education offered, research products developed, and the overall direction of educational development at the university.
The Ipoh City Council expressed its gratitude to the senior management representatives of QIU, including Mr. Nicholas Goh, Professor Zita Mohd Fahmi, and Mr. Muhammad MG Omar, for the briefing and hospitality provided.
The proposed development of Quest International University Perak (QIU) is expected to have a positive impact on the growth of Ipoh City and could improve the standard of living for local residents through job opportunities.
