YAB Dato ‘Seri Saarani Mohamad, Menteri Besar of Perak officiated the Ipoh Heritage Tourism (IHT) Project last night. YB Dato ’Ahmad Suaidi Abd. Rahim, Perak State Secretary, Y.Bhg. Dato ‘Rumaizi bin Baharin @ Md Daud, Mayor of Ipoh and Encik Mohamad Haris Kader Sultan, Chief Executive of the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA), were seen present at this ceremony.
This light and sound project in Ipoh Padang has been implemented by the NCIA Northern Corridor Implementation Authority and a total of 10 video themes will be arranged for screenings over three days from the opening day.
This Light Mapping concept theme can display graphic displays that interact with the building facade. This technology can be used for various shows and media art performances, thus ensuring that Ipoh Padang can be the main attraction venue for visitors & tourists to witness this art performance in Malaysia.
This development will complement the planning of the Old Town Tourism Area as outlined in the Special Area Plan (RKK) and Ipoh Walkable City as well as the Ipoh Local Plan 2035.
The Ipoh City Council is also upgrading the Ipoh Tourism Triangle to revitalize the local tourism industry. The areas involved around Gunung Lang, Taman D.R Seenivasagam, and Ipoh Padang which include old Ipoh town, Masjid Paloh and Kampung Kuchai.
