Thirty-five orphans from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Darul Itam, Temoh here were treated to a memorable buka puasa event at the premises on Tuesday.
Not only they received baju raya but also school necessities, tables, chairs, mattresses and pillows.
The event was organised by Co-operative Societies Commission of Malaysia, Perak branch under the Program Sentuhan Mesra Gerakan Koperasi and Tatuan Kasih Ramadhan.
The aid was presented by Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development Deputy Minister Senator Saraswathy Kandasami and Perak Women Development, Family, Welfare and Entrepreneur Development Committee Chairman Salbiah Mohamed.
Among the contributors were the state government, SME Corp, Angkasa and eight other cooperatives in Perak.
The event is part of the cooperative societies commission programme as a commitment in enhancing the well being of the community and also to heed the call by government to care through the Community Social Responsibility.
