Tan Sri Dato’ Seri V. Jeyaratnam (1925–2026) has passed on at the age of 101.
He was a highly respected Malaysian criminal lawyer and a well-known figure in Perak’s legal and community circles. Throughout his distinguished career, he was recognised for his professionalism, leadership, and long-standing service to the legal profession.
Beyond his work in law, he played an important role in civic and charitable activities. He served as the longest-standing chairman of the Perak Turf Club and was also chairman of the Sultan Idris Shah Foundation, contributing significantly to various philanthropic and community initiatives in Ipoh and throughout Perak.
His passing marks the end of a remarkable era of service and dedication. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of integrity, leadership, and commitment to the community.
