A total of 80 participants joined the Skateboard Tournament, Piala Dato Haji Mazlan, held this evening at the Futsal Court in Taman Perpaduan, Ipoh. Initiated by YBhg. Dato Haji Mazlan Bin Abd Rahman, Chief WHIP of Ipoh City Council (MBI), the event attracted over 200 youths.
All participants were teenagers from Ipoh, with the inaugural program aiming to uncover new talents and promote the potential growth of skateboarding in the city.
The event also featured a PES Mobile Esports Tournament with 50 participants.
Earlier, Ipoh Mayor YBhg. Dato Rumaizi Bin Baharin @ Md Daud officiated the event and presented prizes, including cash, hampers, and trophies, to the winners.
Such programs are hoped to be held on a larger scale in the future to further develop the sport.
