The Perak Caring Association (PCA), with the support of Parliament Tambun, in collaboration with the Hindu Youth Organization (HYO) Gunung Rapat, AEON Mall Klebang, and MHS Tg Rambutan, successfully organized the Diya of Caring – Shining Together Kindness to Lives event at AEON Klebang. Bringing together over 200 participants, this vibrant Deepavali celebration promoted unity, cultural appreciation, and community kindness.
The day was filled with activities that celebrated Deepavali’s heritage, including a coloring competition across three age groups, a greeting card design station, and a kolam-making contest using colorful rice powder. A murukku-making demonstration showcased the culinary artistry behind this traditional snack, while a display of engagement trays under PCA’s “Rise Us” initiative highlighted cultural craftsmanship. A children’s fashion show featured traditional attire from diverse backgrounds, and captivating Indian dance and Urumi Melam performances immersed the audience in the cultural richness of Deepavali.
The event concluded with a prize-giving ceremony attended by esteemed guests, including YBrs Tuan Suresh Kumar, Pn Jamaliah, Mrs. Kasturi, Mr. Pon Santhiran, and PCA President Mrs. Pathma Devi, adding warmth and celebration to the day. Special thanks went to the organizing team led by Gopi Naidu and the judges for their dedication and support.
Diya of Caring successfully brought the community together, leaving participants with meaningful memories and a deeper appreciation for Deepavali’s values of unity and harmony.
