On August 8, 2024, Y.Bhg. Dato’ Rumaizi bin Baharin@Md Daud, the Mayor of Ipoh, was selected as one of the speakers and panelists at the Malaysia Madani Land Development Seminar 2024. Organized by INSTUN under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, the seminar aims to provide a platform for discussing land development issues.
In the morning session, Y.Bhg. Dato’ Rumaizi presented Paper II titled “The Role of the Local Government Act in Management and Development Under Act 171.” In the afternoon, he participated as the third panelist in a forum session moderated by Tuan Zulhasni Mohamad, Head of Management and Legal at INSTUN.
Other panelists included Y.Bhg. Datuk Muhammad Yasir bin Yahaya, Secretary of the Land, Survey, and Geospatial Division, NRES; Tuan TPr. Tuan Zamizan bin Puji, Director of Legal and Regulatory Planning at PlanMalaysia; and Prof. Dr. Sharifah Zubaidah binti Syed Abdul Kader from the International Islamic University Malaysia (UIAM).
