Menstrual Hygiene Matters: A Program to Educate and Empower B40 Students

A Menstrual Hygiene Management Program was held at SMK Seri Kampar, organized by Wanita Perak, PPD Kinta Selatan, MRDT Foundation and Athena Empower. The program involved 80 B40 students from SMK Seri Kampar and SMK Methodist (ACS). The program was officiated by YBhg Datin Wanita binti Wari, Senior Assistant Director of School Management Sector, JPN Perak. Also present were Ybrs Puan Jamilah Zakaria, Director of Wanita Perak, EN. Muhammad Azizan bin Abdullah, Deputy PPD of Student Development Sector, Tn. Hj. Mohamad Azhar bin Ariffin, Principal of SMK Seri Kampar, Tuan Muhammad Syakir Bin Norman, MDRT Foundation and Puan Anja Juliah Abu Bakar from Athena Empower, who also served as the speaker for the program.

The collaboration between MDRT Foundation and Athena Holding through Wanita Perak has benefited 80 students through this program. MDRT Foundation donated 80 basic kits to the B40 students who were identified by the Kinta Selatan District Education Office. Thanks are extended to all who were involved.

Hopefully, this program and collaboration can be expanded to the whole state of Perak to help and expose the importance of women’s reproductive health care to the students in Perak.
