It was time to let your hair down (those with hair only) and party to the music of yesteryear.
The event was the LiteFM’s Club Roots party which brought together deejays who performed during the heyday of the city’s vibrant nightlife.
The gathering was held at the WEIL Hotel Ipoh’s Deck Gastro Bar located on the rooftop of the premier hotel.
On parade was DJ KT Pillai (Time Zone), DJ Damain Nagalingam (Party Box), DJ Spike Lee (Palm Groove Club at the Royal Casuarina Hotel), DJ Logen (Y2K) and DJ Munky.
Joining them was DJ Ariff (Tin Mine KL) and Lite FM’s announcer and host Phat Fabes himself.
The great turnout of supporters and guests made the occasion even more meaningful as they enjoyed the hits of days gone by and also had the opportunity to catch up with long lost friends from that era.
Guests from as far as Perlis, Penang, Kuala Lumpur and other destinations made the occasion even more merrier.
Each DJ performed for an hour each to bring hit numbers from the 80’s and 90’s and take you down memory lane.
The crew from LIte FM and also from the WEIL Hotel were busy recording and snapping pictures of every moment of the night.
Not forgetting, guests need not be reminded to take to the dance floor when their favourite hits were played.
Meanwhile, the Club Roots showcase will move on to destinations like KL, Seremban and other venues which are yet to be finalised for 2025.
