The International IPOH Fashion Week (IIFW) returns for its highly anticipated sixth season on July 19-20, 2024, in Taiping, Perak. Under the theme “From Taiping with Love,” this event celebrates the town’s 150-year heritage. Awarded the Fashion Week Award of the Year 2019/20 by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture (MOTAC), IIFW continues to position Malaysia as a burgeoning fashion capital, showcasing the talents of Perak and Malaysia while promoting global fashion.
Fashion Tourism with a Heart
Founded by Louis Sebastian in 2017, IIFW is renowned for blending fashion with charitable initiatives. This year’s event aims to raise funds for medical facilities and animal welfare at Zoo Taiping. IIFW embodies five pillars: Fashion, Business, Education, CSR, and Community.
Event Highlights
19 July 2024: The Royal Fashion with a Heart Charity Gala Dinner at Perdana Ballroom, Hotel Taiping Perdana, featuring a red carpet, black-tie event attended by Her Royal Highness Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim and other dignitaries. Performances by Ayu Damit and violinist Martin Looi will highlight the evening. Tickets for the Gala Dinner are available at RM5,000 and RM8,000 per table (10 seats).
20 July 2024: A public Street Fashion Runway at Raintree Walk Lake Garden, showcasing over 10 designers from Malaysia and abroad. Indonesian artist Rita NaSiak will perform during the fashion show.
Supporting a Noble Cause
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Paediatric High Dependency Unit (PHDU) of Hospital Seri Manjung and Zoo Taiping’s animal welfare. The event features exclusive sponsorship packages (Gold RM50,000, Silver RM30,000, and Bronze RM10,000) and individual table sales, with the goal of supporting children and animals in need.
