Highlights from the Ipoh International Marathon

Over 3,500 participants joined the Ipoh International Run (IIR), covering four main categories: 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km. The event started at Stadium Indera Mulia, Ipoh, with YB Khairudin Abu Hanipah, Chairman of the Perak State Committee for Education, Higher Education, Youth & Sports, officiating the run at 7:30 AM. Notable attendees included Tuan Haji Mazlan bin Mohamad, Director of MSN Perak, Cik Nurmalis binti Musa, CEO of Tourism Perak, and Encik Muhammad Aminuddin, Director of the Perak Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Office, along with City Council Members and the MBI City Secretary.

Organized by Ashku Event Glow Management and MBI, the run featured international participants. The 21 km route included landmarks such as Jalan Panglima Bukit Gantang Wahab, Ipoh Royal Club, City Hall, High Court, and Ipoh Railway Station. The morning’s festivities also included performances, aerobics, and a lucky draw.
