The Harley Davidson Owners Group Kuala Lumpur Chapter (HOG Route 77), in collaboration with Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh, Cardiac Vascular Sentral Kuala Lumpur (CVSKL), and Sam Custom Ipoh Riders, proudly organized a charity ride, ‘Rev Your Engines For a Cause’, and event to support 3 local orphanages – Praise Boys Care Centre, Praise Girls Care Centre, and Pusat Jagaan 1Malaysia.

The event, held on 17 June, began with 35 Harley Davidson riders gathering for breakfast before cruising through the streets of Ipoh to Aeon Mall Kinta City. The mission was clear: to bring joy and create unforgettable memories for the children and riders alike. The event saw participation from 44 children, accompanied by their guardians and teachers. Ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants were security and marshal personnel, along with medics. In total, the event brought together 96 participants, all contributing to a memorable day of joy and community support.

Meeting with the children from the orphanages, aged 3 to 18, each rider was paired with a child for a shopping experience at Popular Bookstore. This unique opportunity allowed riders and children to bond, share stories, and create lasting memories. The experience was touching and memorable, leaving a profound impact on both the children and riders.

Following the shopping session, the group rode to Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh, where a delicious lunch awaited the children. The excitement was palpable as the children enjoyed mouth-watering dishes, their smiles lighting up the room. Post-lunch, some children experienced the thrill of riding on the motorcycles, their laughter echoing through the streets.

Before concluding the day, Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh presented each child with a token of appreciation. Additionally, Cardiac Vascular Sentral Kuala Lumpur (CVSKL) provided free heart checkups for some riders, emphasizing the importance of health and community support.

The organizers thanked sponsors and contributors who made this event possible – Riders of Route 77 (HOG Kuala Lumpur Chapter), SAM Custom, Cardiac Vascular Sentral Kuala Lumpur (CVSKL), Bubbly Buddies, and Haven Group HOG Ipoh Chapter. Their support was instrumental in the success of the charity ride.

Reflecting on the event, Mohd Najip, Assistant General Manager for Hard Rock Cafe Ipoh, said “The charity ride successfully achieved its goal, with all parties pledging to organize more events to support local communities. My team and I are proud that this event echoed the Hard Rock mottos: ‘All is One’ and ‘Take Time to Be Kind.”
