Community Spirit Soars at Ipoh Mayor’s Afternoon Tea with Orphans

Y.Bhg. Dato’ Rumaizi Bin Baharin@Md Daud, Mayor of Ipoh, welcomed distinguished guests and attendees to the Majlis Minum Petang Datuk Bandar Ipoh Bersama Anak Yatim (MBI Prihatin) & Pembukaan Rasmi Mr. Roasted Greentown. This event, organized by Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh (MBI) and Mr. Roasted Sdn. Bhd, highlighted the importance of corporate social responsibility and community engagement.

Among the notable attendees were Saudari Pengerusi Majlis; Mr. Eric Lee, Director of Mr. Roasted Sdn. Bhd; Y.Bhg. Datuk Haji Mohd Odzman bin Abd Kadir, President of the Perak State Tourism Association; Y.Bhg. Dato’ Dr. Haji Fadzli Cheah bin Abdullah, Chairman of the Chinese Muslim Association of Malaysia (MACMA); Encik Lai Weng Keong, President of MCCC Perak Branch, Malaysia Chinese Chamber of Commerce; Inspector Mohd Al Shukri Bin Nasir, Chief of Sungai Senam Police Station; Members and Heads of Departments of the Ipoh City Council; Encik Norizan bin Razali, Principal of Pertubuhan Kebajikan Cahaya Kasih Kinta, Perak; Y.Bhg. Datin Noraini Abdullah, Chairman and Founder of Pertubuhan Baitul Aini Anak-Anak Yatim dan Miskin Ipoh, Perak; and orphans from both Pertubuhan Kebajikan Cahaya Kasih Kinta, Perak, and Pertubuhan Baitul Aini Anak-Anak Yatim dan Miskin Ipoh, Perak.

In his speech, Dato’ Rumaizi expressed his gratitude to Mr. Roasted Sdn. Bhd for their collaboration with MBI in executing the MBI Prihatin program. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives and encouraged more private companies to engage in similar efforts to benefit the citizens of Ipoh. He also highlighted the media’s crucial role in promoting these beneficial programs and encouraging community support.

Dato’ Rumaizi believed that events like this help alleviate burdens and strengthen community bonds. He expressed hope that the official opening of Mr. Roasted Greentown would boost Ipoh’s food tourism sector, providing more dining options for visitors. He congratulated Mr. Eric Lee for receiving the Grade A Food Premises Certificate, acknowledging the company’s commitment to quality.
