The Perak State Government has implemented a ban on the provision and use of single-use plastic carrier bags throughout the state, effective September 1, 2026.
All affected business premises are strictly prohibited from providing or using single-use plastic carrier bags for customers.
The business premises involved include:
1. Hypermarkets
2. Supermarkets
3. Department Stores
4. Convenience Stores
5. Fast Food Restaurants
6. Petrol Station Convenience Stores
7. Chain Stores
8. Pharmacies
Other relevant premises will be announced from time to time.
