MBI Strikes Bronze at Perak National Day Parade 2026

The Ipoh City Council (MBI) contingent won third place for Best Parade in the Local Authority/Statutory Body, NGO, and Private Sector category at the 2026 Perak State-Level National Day Celebration, held this morning.

The achievement earned the contingent a cash prize of RM2,000 along with a certificate of appreciation, presented by His Royal Highness the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah Al-Maghfur-Lah, to Encik Muhammad Firdaus bin Hassan, Head of the MBI Foot Drill Contingent.

This year’s contingent comprised 57 parade members and 12 organising officers from various MBI departments, who underwent intensive training from 3 August 2026 to ensure top-level discipline, uniformity, and performance quality.

The team’s dedication and coordination were evident in their disciplined, energetic performance, which impressed the judges and secured the placing. The achievement was driven by the continuous support of Ipoh Mayor Tuan Zamakhshari bin Hanipah and City Secretary Tuan A’zman bin Mohd Harun, along with the strong commitment of the officers, trainers, and all contingent members throughout the preparation period.

MBI extends its highest congratulations and appreciation to everyone involved for bringing honour to the Council at this year’s Perak State-Level National Day Celebration is a reflection of the discipline, unity, and patriotism among its staff.
