Y.Bhg Tuan Zamakhshari bin Hanipah has been appointed as the 13th Mayor of Ipoh, on the 16 April 2025.
His letter of appointment was presented this morning by YAB Dato’ Seri Saarani Bin Mohamad, the Menteri Besar of Perak, at the Perak State Secretary’s Office.
The 13th Mayor of Ipoh reported for duty at the Ipoh City Council (MBI) this afternoon.
Today, he also held an introductory session with the MBI Top Management and Heads of Departments/Units. Prior to this, he served as the Deputy Director-General of Planning and Disaster Preparedness (Policy) at the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA).
The Council extends its heartfelt congratulations to Y.Bhg Tuan Zamakhshari bin Hanipah on his appointment as the 13th Mayor of Ipoh.
