The Ipoh District Police will implement road closures and diversions on 1st October 2024 (Tuesday) starting from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, from the Infoternak Traffic Light in Sungai Siput to the Pahang border (Cameron Highlands) through the Ipoh district, Perak, to facilitate the PETRONAS Le Tour de Langkawi 2024 race.
The roads involved in phased closures and diversions are as follows:
- Jalan Kuala Kangsar (up to Tasek Traffic Light)
- Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah (up to Medan Gopeng Traffic Light)
- Jalan Sultan Nazrin Shah (up to Simpang Pulai Police Station Traffic Light)
- Jalan Keramat Pulai (up to the Pahang state border)
The suggested alternative routes for road users during the event are as follows:
- Jalan Lahat-Simpang Pulai
- Jalan Sultan Nazrin Shah
- Jalan Kuala Kangsar
- North-South Expressway (towards Kuala Kangsar)
- North-South Expressway (towards Ipoh)
In relation to this, road users, particularly the residents of Ipoh, are advised to plan their journeys and choose alternative routes to avoid being caught in traffic congestion during the road closures and diversions.
