The Perak Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PICCI) will soon put up two arches at Jalan Theatre and Jalan Al Mustapha Bakri here.
On hand to perform the ground breaking ceremony was Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin along with PCCCI chairman Dato Liew Sew Yee and his team.
The new structures will serve to add to the many attractions in the “Town That Tin Built”.
“We hope that the stakeholders will come forward to support this project as it will serve to benefit everybody in the city.
“I am happy to note that this project which is a collaboration between PCCCI and the Ipoh City Council will go a long way to promote tourism.
“This is a unique collaboration between both parties. I also call upon all parties involved in the tourism industry to join forces for the success of the city. Finally I also wish to congratulate PCCCI for this commendable venture,” said Rumaizi.
