The Perak Caring Association organized a vibrant and successful bowling tournament at Ampang Superbowl, Ipoh Parade, bringing together 80 participants from various racial backgrounds in a celebration of unity and national pride. The event, held in conjunction with Merdeka celebrations, saw teams of three competing for top honors in a friendly yet spirited environment.
Special guest YB Wong Chai Yi graced the occasion, delivering an inspiring speech on the significance of unity. She highlighted that the tournament was not just about showcasing bowling skills but also about fostering camaraderie and mutual respect among individuals from different communities. The event underscored the importance of solidarity and harmony in Malaysia’s multicultural society.
The president of the Perak Caring Association, Mrs. Pathma Devi, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing that sports are a powerful tool for building friendships and promoting discipline and integrity across racial lines.
Participants expressed their enjoyment and enthusiasm for the tournament, with many looking forward to future events. The day concluded with a prize-giving ceremony, an interview session by Astro Awani, and a heartwarming rendition of Merdeka songs, uniting all in attendance.
Special recognition was given to the organizing team, led by Gopi Naidu (Secretary), Puva (Treasurer), and Jo (Assistant Secretary), for their exceptional efforts in making the event a resounding success.
