MBI Temporarily Shuts Nine Ipoh Premises

The Ipoh City Council (MBI) has sent notices of temporary suspension of operation to a total of nine locations within the  Ipoh.

Among those that received the notices are : 

  • D’Aini Chalet
  • M&F Agro Resort
  • Dmec Waterfall Cafe
  • Tingkat Valley
  • D’Sungai Meru
  • D’Lereng Adventure Camp & Resort
  • Sunnebeam Paradise
  • Glamping & Floating Villa Lost World of Tambun
  • The Banjaran Hotspring Retreat

Ipoh Mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin stated that these establishments were given the notice because of their high risk location. He said that these premises are at risk of water surges , flash flooding and are located near slopes.

He added that the notices ran from Dec 19 to Wednesday (Dec 21).

The City Council has undertaken assessments at eleven high risk areas throughout the city, and these checks are to be conducted on a regular basis, particularly now that the monsoon season has begun.
