Launching Visit Perak 2024 with a Bang!

The State Government of Perak, through Tourism Perak, organized a dual celebration – the Launch of Visit Perak 2024 and the New Year Celebration 2024 at Silverlakes Village Outlet, Batu Gajah.

The event was inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Perak, Dato’ Seri Saarani bin Mohamad, accompanied by his wife, YBhg. Datin Seri Aezer binti Zubin.

According to Dato’ Seri Saarani bin Mohamad, every resident of Perak is an ambassador promoting Perak as a preferred destination. The last Visit Perak campaign was in 2017, initially planned for 2022 but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It has now been resumed in 2024.

Residents are urged to use social media to share captivating stories, images, and videos, promoting the state’s charm, beauty, and uniqueness. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of showcasing Perak’s history, culture, and engaging in dialogue to attract visitors.

As the year ends, Dato’ Seri Saarani urged unity to ensure the state’s prosperity. He encouraged building on past achievements, fostering understanding, and eliminating conflicts in 2024, making it a brighter year for Perak Darul Ridzuan.

The highlight of the event was a highly anticipated fireworks display attended by 15,000 people at Silverlakes Village Outlet, Batu Gajah.

Notable attendees included the Speaker of the Perak State Assembly, YB Dato’ Mohammad Zahir bin Dato’ Abdul Khalid; State Secretary, Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi bin Abdul Rahim; State Financial Officer, Dato’ Mohd Zaki bin Mahyudin; Chairman of the Tourism, Industry, Investment and State Development Corridor Committee, Encik Loh Sze Yee; and members of the State Government Council and CEO of Tourism Perak, Cik Nurmalis binti Musa.

The celebration continued with the presentation of appreciation certificates to Tourism Perak’s strategic partners, the launch of Perak FC jerseys for the 2024 season, and the release of 200 Grab Car drivers as part of the Visit Perak 2024 strategic initiative.
