Y.Bhg. Dato’ Rumaizi bin Baharin@Md Daud, the Mayor of Ipoh, chaired the Press Conference for the Trade Exhibition.
The exhibition, taking place from August 1 to 4, 2024, is organized by the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) Perak Branch in collaboration with Ipoh City Council. This exhibition, held at Stadium Indera Mulia, is the largest international trade show ever hosted in Ipoh.
Entrepreneurs participating in this exhibition are from China and Thailand, as well as local entrepreneurs. The exhibition covers franchises, artificial intelligence, the digital economy, and a variety of consumer goods.
As China continues to grow rapidly in trade, economy, and smart technology, we must seize this opportunity to expand trade and transactions with China, improve product quality, and train local talent. It is time for Malaysia to compete with developed countries globally.
The main purpose of organizing this exhibition is to attract entrepreneurs and business groups from China to participate, invest, and establish businesses in our country. This aligns with the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) program aimed at attracting foreign investors to stimulate the local economy.
Moreover, the era of the digital economy has transformed the global landscape. With digital technology at its core, economic activities have become digital, networked, and smart through the internet, big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. This new economic model has changed our lifestyle and production methods, deeply impacting global economic and social development.
Data centers are being established worldwide, and our country is also actively introducing this technology sector, aspiring to become a major data center hub in the future. This aligns with the progressive policies and initiatives of the MADANI government, working towards a promising future for Malaysia.
