Teluk Intan witnessed a landmark moment recently as a combined blood donation and organ donation drive was successfully organised by Mr Nazrin Navin Kumar, marking the first-ever organ donation drive held in the town.
A local son of Teluk Intan, Nazrin Navin Kumar is no stranger to community service. Born and bred in the town, he has previously organised multiple blood donation drives in close collaboration with Hospital Teluk Intan, earning recognition for his continued commitment to public health initiatives.
This latest drive goes a step further by introducing organ donation awareness to the local community—an important milestone for Teluk Intan. The initiative aimed to educate the public on the life-saving impact of organ donation while encouraging residents to contribute in any way they can.
The event brought significant benefits to the local community, helping to strengthen the blood supply for medical emergencies and potentially saving lives through increased organ donor registrations. It also highlighted the importance of public participation in supporting the healthcare system.
By spearheading this initiative, Nazrin Navin Kumar reaffirmed the role of community-driven efforts in supporting healthcare services and fostering a culture of compassion and responsibility in Teluk Intan.
