Perak Caring Association celebrated International Nurses Day at Klinik Kesihatan Kampung Simee. This year’s theme, “The Economic Power of Care,” highlighted the critical role that nurses play in both healthcare and the broader economy. The event marked the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, the pioneer of modern nursing.

Dedicated nurses gathered to be honored for their invaluable contributions. The celebration was led by President Pathma Devi, with the event organized by Puvaneswary and Thivya. To show appreciation, the Perak Caring Association distributed custom-made cupcakes, chocolates, and foil balloons to all frontline workers, focusing particularly on nurses who have been instrumental during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Nurses are the backbone of our healthcare system,” said President Pathma Devi. “Their dedication and compassion are what keep us going, especially during crises like the Covid-19 pandemic. Today, we celebrate their contributions and pledge our continued support to them.”

International Nurses Day serves as an important reminder of the everyday challenges nurses face and the essential support they need. Nurses play a pivotal role in delivering healthcare, often putting their own lives at risk to ensure the well-being of their patients. Their work extends beyond patient care; it is integral to the economic and social stability of our communities.
