Celebrating the 67th Ipoh Low Carbon Day: A Fusion of Sports and Sustainability

Over 3000 attendees joined the 67th Ipoh Low Carbon Day Program on January 28, 2024. The event, organized by MBI, featured the launch of the Teakwon-do Championship 2024 logo and flag by the Perak Tourism Association and Perak Taekwon-do Association.

The program showcased various activities, including a Taekwon-do sports championship with over 1,200 participants from 13 countries, promoting Ipoh as an international sports city. Other activities included Taekwon-do demonstrations, performances, jogging, cycling, walking, skateboarding, aerobics, health checkups, health awareness campaigns, humanitarian efforts, 3R campaigns, customer appreciation day, exhibitions, and mind-testing games for children.

Notable guests included Dato’ Odzman bin Abd. Kadir, President of the Perak Tourism Association, Senior Master Najmi bin Abdullah, President of the Malaysia Taekwon-Do Federation, MBI Council Members, Tuan Ahmad Munir Bin Ishak, City Secretary, Master Yong Kin Chong, Chairman of the Perak Taekwon-Do Association, and MBI Senior Director and Head of Department.

The Perak Tourism International Invitation Taekwon-Do Championship 2024, organized by the Perak Tourism Association and Perak Taekwon-Do Association, aligns with the promotion of Visit Perak 2024.

The launch of the Teakwon-do Championship logo and flag by Datuk Bandar Ipoh, Y.Bhg. Dato’ Rumaizi bin Baharin@Md Daud, aims to nurture the potential of talented youth in various sports, including Taekwon-do, providing exposure and encouraging active participation in recreational activities for the younger generation
