In conjunction with the World Book Day 2022 Tun Razak Library, Ipoh (PTR) organized the “Jom Membaca Bersama 10 minit” program.
The program was officiated by Council Member, Ipoh City Council (MBI) Clr. Albert Ho Wai Mun who is also the Chairman of the MBI Education Affairs Committee.
A total of 120 residents from various walks of life participated in the program which was also held virtually through zoom meetings.
Prizes were in the form of certificates, presents and cash prizes to the most book borrowers in PTR in 2021, divided into 4 categories.
For the senior citizen category, the winner was Mrs. E. Nakasvri, 58 years old.
For the adult category was won by Puan Rosaliwati Zainuddin, 49 years old
For the youth category, the prize was won by 13-year-old Wong Xuan Cheng.
For the children category, belonged to 8-year-old V. Aarinyah.
Another program that was also running concurrently was The My Love PTR- Raya Ria which was also held in conjunction with the upcoming Hari raya celebration.
Various interesting events were held, among them was a cake decorating competition with the Hari Raya theme, design of traditional Hari Raya greeting cards and “ketupat” weaving demonstration.
