Jointly organized by Sin Chew Daily, MagnumCares, and UTAR, the Sin Chew Carnival of 2023 was held at UTAR Kampar Campus, Dewan Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik, on 29 and 30 July. This two-day carnival offered an array of exciting activities and attractions, making it an unforgettable experience for all attendees. From delectable food, refreshing drinks, to thrilling carnival games at the bazaar, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
The event’s highlights included a captivating singing contest finale, engaging arts and crafts workshops, a charity run for a noble cause, exciting lucky draw sessions, and a spine-chilling haunted house for the brave-hearted. Additionally, the grand spectacle “Xu Yang” took center stage, as UTAR Kampar’s Chinese Orchestra Unit celebrated their 15th anniversary with a magnificent and stunning concert.
Beyond the festivity, the main objective of the carnival was to raise funds for the development of UTAR Hospital, a not-for-profit healthcare institution that has been serving the public for a year. Conveniently located next to the Kampar campus, UTAR Hospital is renowned for providing affordable healthcare services, combining Western medicine and Traditional medicine.
In summary, the Sin Chew Carnival 2023 was a delightful blend of entertainment, artistry, and charity, bringing together people from all walks of life to support the growth of UTAR Hospital and its mission to provide accessible healthcare to the community.
