The Ipoh City Council (MBI) acknowledges PTA’s role and appreciates its programs. PTA acts as an intermediary between MBI and players in the tourism industry, facilitating private sector involvement alongside the government in developing tourism.
PTA’s donation of the ‘IPOH’ signboard adds another landmark to the city of Ipoh, aligning with the intentions of the Perak State Government and the Ipoh City Council to promote Perak and Ipoh during the Visit Perak 2024 campaign. Such initiatives set an example for other organizations and the private sector to contribute to enhancing the ambiance of Ipoh.
MBI encourages PTA to continue its role as an intermediary between the private sector and MBI in planning to elevate Ipoh among the leading cities in the ASEAN region.
MBI is open to receiving feedback and suggestions to jointly develop Ipoh. There are many potentials to be explored, and the private sector can assist MBI in its implementation.
PTA can also enhance relations with cities connected to MBI, such as Fukuoka.
Through its initiatives, PTA collaborates with the Perak Taekwondo Association to organize an international championship in Ipoh in June.
In August, PTA will also collaborate with the Malaysia Association of Marching Arts to host another international championship in Ipoh.
Both events will attract thousands of visitors from both domestic and international destinations to Ipoh. This will significantly boost the economy, particularly for accommodation, food, transportation, etc., aligning with the main objective of Visit Perak 2024.
MBI is prepared to support and cooperate by providing facilities to assist in the preparation of these championships.
