The Ipoh IPD Tourist Police began operations on June 23, 2022. The goal of the Tourist Police Unit is to give both domestic and foreign visitors who travel to well-known tourist locations in Perak a sense of security.
The Sultan Azlan Shah Airport, Lorong Panglima, Memory Lane Ipoh, Tasik Cermin Ecopark Recreation Park, Gunung Lang Recreation Park, and other popular tourist destinations in Ipoh are primarily the focus of the Ipoh IPD Tourist Police’s patrol duties.
A few visitors thanked the Ipoh IPD Tourist Police for their assistance, saying that they feel much safer with their presence.
