The Ipoh City Council (MBI) will carry out repair and related works on the Jalan Tun Abdul Razak Bridge in Ipoh from 14 October 2025 (Monday) until 6 January 2026 (Tuesday).

This project is part of MBI’s ongoing maintenance efforts to ensure the bridge remains safe, stable, and compliant with current technical standards.

To facilitate the works and ensure public safety, a full road closure will take effect starting 30 October 2025 (Thursday), involving Jalan Tun Abdul Razak, Jalan Tun Perak, and Jalan Persiaran Kidd.

During this period, motorists are advised to follow warning signs, detour routes, and instructions from traffic officers. Alternative routes will be provided to ease traffic congestion in the Buntong, Silibin, Ipoh city centre, Jalan Lahat, and Falim areas.

MBI assures that all works will be completed on schedule and in full compliance with safety measures to minimize risks to road users.

The public is encouraged to plan their journeys ahead and stay updated via MBI’s official media announcements and social media channels.

MBI expresses its appreciation to Ipoh residents for their cooperation and support throughout this project.
Through these repair works, MBI remains committed to maintaining the city’s infrastructure at its best—aligning with the aspirations of “Ipoh Smart & Low Carbon City 2030” and “Perak Sejahtera 2030.”
