Come November, Ipoh is expected to be a hive of activity again as it hosts the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup again after the lockdown.
The tournament which is recognised by the International Hockey Federation (IHF) is expected to be held from Nov 1 to 10, 2022.
Among the teams expected to feature are South Korea, South Africa, Canada, Japan and Pakistan.
Hosts Malaysia hope to make a good showing at the tournament before heading to the Asian Cup.
Other than boosting the local economy, hotels and transport operators are likely to see brisk business.
Ipoh based hockey fans can also enjoy a good round of the game.
