Clr Albert Ho Wai Mun aims to spread awareness about the importance of the PERKESO’s Self-Employment Social Security Scheme to self employed individuals such as babysitters, cleaners, hawkers & small traders. This Scheme protects self-employed persons against employment injuries including occupational diseases and accidents during work-related activities.
Many self-employed persons do not contribute to SOCSO due to various restrictions, including lack of documentation, age restrictions, and industry restrictions thus self-employed people from low-income families neglect to insure themselves because they cannot afford the high insurance premiums.
Clr Albert Ho Wai Mun also stressed that he is very concerned and knows the pressure of life that the current B40 families are facing. Keeping this in mind he has arranged 2 programs that will be beneficial to the community.

- Malaysian citizen / permanent resident
- Self-employed without age limit
Document needed:
Photocopy of identity card (IC) & SSM/ Business Licence/ Driving licence / GDi licence/
Screenshot Profile (e-hailing/rider)
Even if you are Self-employed without any business documentation, you are also eligible for this scheme, please proceed to the 1st floor of the market for assistance.
PROGRAM 2: FREE MEDICAL CHECK-UP
Free BMI, Glucose, Cholesterol, and Uric Acid Screening.
Eligibility
Malaysian citizen, 18 years and above
Please bring along a copy of your IC.
