The Ipoh Half Marathon@Ipoh Car Free Day 2023 is being organized at the national level for the first time, and what makes it even more special is that it is being held together with the Ipoh Car Free Day program in Ipoh.
The IHM event starts at 2:00 AM with the flag-off for the 21KM category, followed by the 10KM category at 3:00 AM, and the 5KM category at 7:30 AM. MBI remains committed to organizing IHM@ICFD and continuously welcomes improvements in the implementation of this program. The objective of the ICFD program will continue to be maintained as an agenda to transform Ipoh into a Low Carbon City, in line with the Low Carbon City 2030 Challenge (LCC2030C) recommended by NRECC.
Additionally, it serves as an awareness and initiative to reduce the overall carbon emissions intensity in Ipoh. This is MBI’s contribution to assisting the country in achieving its commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 45 percent by 2030.
The 61st edition of the ICFD event continues to receive an extremely proud reception. The program is further enhanced by the Ipoh Half Marathon (IHM) event. This running event is a continuation of the celebration of the 35th Ipoh City Day.
