As part of the Prosperous Perak Motorcycle License Program, Perak was the first state to provide 1,571  Learner’s Driving Licences or L Licenses to the B40 group, Orang Asli, and individuals with disabilities at no cost.

Dato’ Mohd Zolkafly Harun, chairman of the Infrastructure, Energy, Water, and Public Transport Committee, said that Perak is the first state to give free L licences to a select group of people who have taken a written course and been approved by the Road Transport Department (JPJ).

“A total of 600 individuals have already received the L licence,” he added, the remaining recipients will receive theirs by the end of September or the beginning of next October.

He mentioned this after officiating the Perak Sejahtera Motorcycle License Handover Ceremony at the Orang Asli One Stop Center (OAOSC), Bawong.

Tuan Mohammad Yusoff Abustan, Director of Perak’s Road Transport Department (JPJ), and Mr. Zulhisham Ahmad Shukori, Kuala Kangsar District and Land Officer, were also present.
