On the 17th of October 2023, medical professionals and enthusiasts in Ipoh were treated to a stimulating evening of knowledge and camaraderie at Hotel Regalodge, thanks to the commendable efforts of KMC Medical Centre. This Continuing Medical Education (CME) Talk Cum Dinner was a testament to the commitment of the medical community to ongoing learning, professional development, and, ultimately, the enhancement of patient care.
The event commenced with a warm and engaging welcome speech by Mr. Suresh Kumar, the General Manager of KMC Medical Centre. Mr. Suresh’s opening remarks emphasized the vital importance of CME events, where medical professionals have the opportunity to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in their respective fields, ultimately benefiting both patients and the entire healthcare industry.
The first CME Talk of the evening was presented by Dr. Vicknesh Anandan, an esteemed authority in the field of sports medicine. His presentation, titled “Common Sports Injury & Management,” was a masterclass in understanding, diagnosing, and treating sports-related injuries. His insights into injury prevention and recovery were invaluable for all medical professionals in attendance, contributing to a collective enhancement of patient care.
Following this illuminating presentation, Dr. Magendiran Shummugam took the stage to share his expertise on “Ultrasound Study & Chest Radiograph Study to Complement Primary Care Physicians & General Practitioners.” His talk highlighted the synergy between traditional and contemporary diagnostic techniques and their role in complementing the work of primary care physicians and general practitioners. Finally good to know that the CME Talk had taken place in KMC Medical Centre. I hope there would be many more to come.
