According to a source from Asian Inspiration, ‘Ipoh White Coffee’ hails from Ipoh, Perak in Malaysia. The coffee beans are roasted in margarine before being ground and brewed to create a softer, caramel-flavored coffee drink.
The beverage is typically served with condensed milk and topped with light froth.
However, this beverage is distinct from other ‘white coffee,’ which refers to any coffee served with added milk or creamer.”
