MyIpoh was given the opportunity by Mr. Khai the person in charge of sales at f Hotel Seri Malaysia to attend their Iftar Ramadan Buffet.
Every year Hotel Seri Malaysia serves all types of kampung-styled cook food and if you ever miss the opportunity to “Balik Kampung” and breakfast in your hometown this Ramadan Hotel Seri Malaysia’s menu and dishes would make you feel right at home.
The first impression
Their outdoor styled concept hall with a beautiful running waterfall was definitely a pleasant setting to enjoy our meal. If you’re looking for a cosy and spacious spot to berbuka with your friends and family, is a great spot to add to your list. This time around My Ipoh team indulged in a few of the special dishes on their Iftar Menu.
The Ramadan Buffet spread at Hotel Seri Malaysia
Let us give you a sneak peek of the food! There are three main sections to the spread a generous selection of dishes lined up, a dessert corner, as well as lovely Ramadan bazaar-style stalls in every corner.
We headed straight to the kambing bakar stall which was something we were waiting for that evening and it did not disappoint. Their roasted goat served with black pepper sauce went well with its tender smoked flavoured meat.
Apart from that, we feasted in their aromatic Nasi Briyani that went along with stir-fried chicken, curry prawns, petari nenas, Ikan masak pedas and plenty of other main dishes that you can fill your plate with. You can also get yourself a bowl of sup kambing.
They had a few stalls which were an ABC stall, laksa stall, cucur and fried chicken corner as well as a vegetable salad section. There are also a few live cooking stalls where you can watch the chef fry noodles such as kueh tiaw or mee mamak on certain nights (they alternate between menus) and another stall where they cook their famous gulai kawah.
We ended our night with a sugar rush and had fun contemplating choosing from all the variety of sweets at the dessert corner. You can pick from kuih-muih, agar-agar, fruit cake, puddings, and traditional bubur lambuk and if you bring your children along, they can enjoy their wide selections of ice cream!
To wash it all down they have a variety of hot and cold drinks from the famous bandung to hot coffee and tea to cater to everyone.
Our Final Verdict
Overall, we think that the buffet is good value for money as they have put good care into curating their Iftar menu and everything we have tried was great.
If you’re planning an iftar meal with your friends, family, or colleagues, definitely consider checking Hotel Seri Malaysia out. You can get a promotion on every 11th person if you come in big groups.
