The discounts and toll waiver are estimated to save motorists RM77.1 million, the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said.
The Malaysian government has announced free and discounted tolls for Keluarga Malaysia returning to celebrate Aidilfitri celebrations that is expected to fall on May 3 2022.The free tolls and discounts are effective beginning 12 midnight of Saturday, April 30 till 11.59pm of Sunday, May 1 for all classes of vehicles.
Both the concessionaires Plus and Anih Berhad will also be waiving tolls for the return trip. The free toll will take effect starting May 7 at midnight until 11.59pm on May 8. Prime Minister Ismail also said this will be the first time the two concessionaires waive tolls for both trips.
Other operators have agreed to give between 30 and 50 per cent discounts for motorists using their roads.
