Y.Bhg. Dato’ Rumaizi bin Baharin@Md Daud, the Mayor of Ipoh, presented a special contribution of RM100 in cash and food parcels to 50 Indian members of the MBI (Ipoh City Council) under the MBI Cares Program in conjunction with the Deepavali Celebration 2023 this evening.
The event was also attended by Y.Bhg. Dato’ Mazlan bin Abd. Rahman, Chief of WHIP (Working Group of Members of Parliament) and a Member of the MBI, Y.Bhg. Dato’ Ahmad Hariri bin Kamarudin, an MBI Member who also serves as the Chairman of the MBI Small Tourism Committee, Clr. Encik Lawrence a/l Palanisamy, an MBI Member who doubles as the Chairman of the MBI Small Non-Muslim Affairs Committee, as well as other MBI Members and MBI Department Heads.
It is hoped that this contribution will alleviate their burdens and aid in their preparations to celebrate Deepavali.
