Kiyoshiro Brew has opened a second location on Jalan Raja Ekram. The proprietor, Mr. Fariz, extended an invitation to Myipoh to attend the grand inauguration of their café. The atmosphere of this new location is just as warm and inviting as that of their first café. This is immediately apparent the moment you set foot inside the establishment. The café may have been on the smaller side, but it definitely had a wonderfully warm and friendly atmosphere; it offered the perfect area to hang out with friends while relaxing over a cup of coffee and croffles.
They have everything from hot to cold beverages, espressos to frappachinos, but if you are still unclear of what you should try, the helpful baristas would be glad to give you their suggestions. Mr. Fariz recommended the house special, which was salted caramel coffee and hazelnut latte. We requested a hot Hazelnut Latte in addition to a cold Salted Caramel Coffee.
After just one taste, we could tell that the salted caramel coffee was going to blow our mind in terms of its delectable flavour since it included the ideal balance of salty, buttery caramel and sweetness from the cream, along with a touch of bitterness from the coffee. Absolutely delicious!
The Hazelnut Latte was mouthwateringly good as well. Hazelnut’s rich flavour complements coffee beautifully, and together they create a luscious beverage that will sate your caffeine addiction.
Croffles piqued our interest on the menu, and we were spoiled for choice with their many flavourful variations, from the basic to the vegetarian-friendly. What are Coffles?
Coffles are a hybrid of croissants and waffles, with a crisp outside like a waffle and a flaky, light inside.
After much deliberation, we settled on ordering the chicken salami croffles.
Crunchy lettuce, cucumbers, chicken salami slices, a generous amount of 100 island sauce, and cheese were sandwiched between two toasted croffles. Pairing that with one of their specialty lattes or coffees was the perfect ending to a satisfying lunch.
Whether you’re looking for a caffeine fix first thing in the morning or a way to wind down at the end of the day, My Ipoh recommends stopping by Kiyoshiro Brew.
