According to an announcement made by the prime minister, all highways in Malaysia will be toll-free for two days beginning on January 20 and continuing on January 21 in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebrations. This effort will reduce the financial strain on everyone who wishes to travels to their hometowns.
The Works Ministry has also lowered the speed limit on all federal highways in the country by 10 kilometres per hour from January 18th to January 27th in celebration of the Chinese New Year.
